This Drexel Hall wedding is one I won’t soon forget.
On a chilly fall evening just over a year ago I met Ryan and Anna at a coffee shop in Kansas City and they told me all about their wedding plans – just about no Pinterest but a whole lot of love and music.
Anna and Ryan chose Drexel Hall for their venue so that they would have room to be literally surrounded by their loved ones. I have to admit when they described the seating arrangement to me I was a little confused but of course as soon as we arrived at the venue I fell head over heals for what they arranged.
Being super talented musician themselves, both the bride and groom’s bands were to play alongside three other bands. They wanted to get married in a circle surrounded by the people they love the most, in a room filled with light.
I never imagined photographing Anna’s wedding when I met her in a Lawrence coffee shop over 10 years ago and I was so honored that she wanted me to be a part of her day. Flash forward 12 months give or take and arrive at October 1, 2016 – potentially America’s most popular wedding date ever – and I was lucky enough to be photographing the most in love couple potentially ever. This wedding is so close to my heart and I am so excited to share it.
So many congratulations to you Anna + Ryan.
