It is official, I am obsessed with Point Lobos. No really, I would love to get back up that way *cue the Big Little Lies soundtrack*. From the mossy trees to the water that is so blue it just blends right into the sky, what is there not to like?!
Katie is a good friend and former colleague of mine who also just so happens to be from the Bay Area originally. I was thrilled when she reached out to me on her trip home last spring to book an anniversary portrait session with her long time boyfriend Bryan. Another year gone and another trip home meant Katie and Bryan were ready to take some updated photographs together. I think at this point we have made this a bit of a tradition and I for one am already looking forward to their annual California trip in 2019 haha! No pressure guys, ha!
In 2017 Katie, Bryan and I hiked around the Marin Headlands just north of San Francisco and it was EVERYTHING guys, every freaking thing. I knew we had to find a killer location for their portraits this year but that Marin was going to be tough to beat. Luckily being from the area originally, Katie had some memories of locations close to her heart that she wanted to share with Bryan and that is how we landed on Point Lobos in Carmel, California. The California coastline never ceases to surprise me honestly, every little bit is just a hair different from the last but so dang lovely regardless. See the prettiest day in the Bay below and let me know what you think!
